1. Information used by the game
Crossword Duel saves your board, letters, scores, remaining hints, difficulty and preferences on your device. The bot and move validation run locally. The current game has no player accounts, multiplayer server, cloud leaderboard or developer-operated gameplay analytics.
The app does not request access to your contacts, microphone, camera, photos or precise location. This does not mean its advertising and consent services process no information; those services are described below.
2. Optional ads and consent
The app integrates Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). Rewarded ads can provide a letter exchange without passing your turn, or an additional hint. Playing does not require watching an ad.
Google's consent service may communicate with Google when the app opens to determine which privacy choices apply, even if you do not watch an ad. Ad loading follows the SDK's consent checks.
When advertising services are used, Google may process IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them, device or app identifiers, diagnostics and performance information, ad views and interactions. These support ad delivery, measurement, service improvement and fraud prevention. Personalization depends on applicable consent and settings. The app does not request Apple's tracking permission.
Google and advertising partners may process information outside your country. Their processing and retention are described in Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps using its services. Partners relevant to a consent request can be reviewed in that request.
Development builds use Google's test ads. Release builds are configured to request monetized ads once Google approves the app. Test mode does not mean the SDK makes no network requests.
3. Your privacy choices
Where a consent message is required, you can accept, decline or manage the choices presented. When Google requires a privacy-options entry point, it appears under Settings → Ad privacy choices in the app, allowing you to revisit your decision.
You can decline an optional rewarded ad and keep playing. An ad closed before a reward is earned does not spend your turn. Privacy consent and choosing to watch a rewarded ad are separate decisions.
Depending on your location and the processing involved, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, object to or restrict processing, request portability, withdraw consent, or contact your local data-protection authority. Contact us about information we handle; Google's linked policy describes controls for information Google handles.
4. Storage and retention
Saved game data and preferences remain on your device until replaced or removed. Starting a new duel replaces the saved duel. Deleting the app, rather than offloading it, removes its local app data; device backups may retain copies according to your Apple settings. We do not operate a server copy of your saved game.
Deleting the app does not automatically delete information previously processed by Google or messages you have emailed us. Advertising-service retention follows the providers' policies. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to address your request and meet applicable obligations.
